On Wednesday, July 19 HSMAI Ohio met for a wellness event at Scioto Park in Dublin, Ohio. We had a discussion on managing stress and anxiety at home and at work, meditation practices and more – all while enjoying amazing juice samples from Vitality Juicery! Here are some of the best practices to follow:
– Rather than a “To Do” list, make an “To Accomplish” list
– Start the day with positivity and remind yourself that you are worthy. Even give yourself a high-five in the morning. A great way to start the day smiling!
– Take the time to breathe, reflect and focus
– Create a playlist that gives you confidence – listen to it on the way to work!- Stand with a power pose before meetings/presentations

Jamie Riley; Intervention Specialist at Tri-Rivers Career Center and Yoga Instructor at Life Time
Jamie Riley is a teacher at heart and encompasses education in many facets. Jamie has been teaching yoga for two years as a 200 HR RYT at Life Time in Dublin, OH. She is also a full time Intervention Specialist at Tri-Rivers Career Center where she values educating the youth on the power of their own breath. Outside of the classroom settings, Jamie embodies health and wellness by representing Arbonne, a plant based company. With a heart to create a healthier and happier world, Jamie is honored any time she has the opportunity to share a practice with others!
Gabrielle Fields; Sales Manager at Home2 Suites Dublin by Hilton
Gabrielle joined the Home2 Dublin as a Sales Manager in September 2022 – her first venture into hotel sales after taking a 3 year leave from the Hospitality industry to have two more beautiful daughters.
Previously she has had an extensive background of 15+ years in Restaurant Management as well as Event Venue Management. She has recently jumped into Social Media, managing the hotel’s Facebook page along with creating an Instagram page. She has been practicing Yoga for 7 years and has used it as a tool to overcome anxiety and injury. She is excited to share her journey and share how mindfulness practices have helped her overcome a negative mindset.
In her free time Gabrielle loves to play with her 3 daughters, reading and collecting books, cooking, yoga, and is a competitive billiards player.
