Have you ever considered what it mentally takes to always be the planner? According to the 2017 Bright Horizons Modern Family Index, working women are twice as likely to be managing the household and three times as likely to be managing their kids’ schedules as their male partners. This phenomenon is called emotional labor, a concept magnified while many women face added pressures of unemployment, job insecurity, or on the opposite side of the spectrum, work overload during the COVID-19 crisis.

Please join us for Women in Lodging’s next live virtual meeting!

Thursday, May 14th, 2020

About the Program

Join us as we have Female Mompreneuer, founder of a’parently, Marti Post speak on what the mental load means for women, why the new work rules ask us to revisit our identity as moms and women, and how to manage emotion & productivity. Find more information on Marti’s mini-session here.

We are also welcoming Dr. Laurie Hommema from OhioHealth to walk us through how to better manage the mental load, talk about the importance of self-care, and have an open discussion about mental health in a time of crisis.
